Most of my time lately has gone into platform API design — figuring out the right abstraction boundary between what a platform team owns and what application teams should control themselves.
Currently building
- An internal developer platform proof-of-concept built around a thin platform API and Backstage-style service catalog.
- A Terraform module set for standardizing landing zones across Azure subscriptions.
Currently learning
- Deeper OpenTelemetry collector pipeline design for multi-tenant observability.
- Evaluating retrieval-augmented generation patterns for internal engineering documentation.
Current experiments
- Using an LLM-based agent to triage low-severity on-call alerts before they page a human.
- Cost-attribution tagging strategy across shared Kubernetes clusters.
Current interests
- Platform-as-product thinking
- Vendor-neutral observability
- AI-assisted infrastructure operations
- Error budgets as a team-level conversation, not just a metric
